The successful candidates will bring a passion for culinary education and a deep understanding of the unique needs of students with ASC. This role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact by delivering tailored food technology education in a supportive environment. Immediate start available. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess effective and engaging food technology lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with Autism Spectrum Conditions. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of each student. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student support. Regularly assess and track student progress in food technology, adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as required. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) in collaboration with the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo). Provide constructive feedback to students and work closely with parents and caregivers to enhance the overall support system for each student. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is preferred. Experience teaching food technology to students with Autism Spectrum Conditions in a special education setting. Knowledge of evidence-based strategies and interventions for supporting individuals with ASC in food technology education. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
