The vacancy

Doncaster and North Lindsey College is seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Support Administrator to join our ambitious team, dedicated to bridging the gap between employers and potential apprentices across Scunthorpe & Doncaster. 

This pivotal role is designed for a candidate passionate about fostering strong relationships and offering unparalleled support services to both apprentices and employers navigating the complexities of recruitment services. Working closely with our internal teams, including apprenticeship delivery, student services, registry, teaching, learning, and business support, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our educational and professional community.

The heart of this role involves comprehensive apprenticeship recruitment responsibilities, including the management of digital accounts and the meticulous addition of vacancies to the National Apprenticeship Service portal. You will be the primary communicator, connecting employers with potential apprentices, ensuring that every interaction is meaningful and productive.

We are looking for a candidate who is not only skilled in administrative duties but also excels in building and maintaining relationships. Your activities will range from sourcing information for job adverts, engaging in social media promotion, to arranging interviews and updating our systems with outcomes. Regular communication with both employers and potential apprentices will be your responsibility, ensuring all parties are well-informed and supported throughout the recruitment process. This position is permanent, full time (35.5 hours per week)

As part of the recruitment process and in-line with keeping children safe in education we will conduct social media checks on candidates that are shortlisted.

Lets Teach Programme  
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.  

Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
