Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant

Milk education are working in partnership with a SEND School in the West Northumberland area that requires experienced an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEND knowledge to be filled for September 2024. The SEN school caters for pupils aged from 2 to 19 years with profound and multiple learning disabilities including Autism. The school is part of the northern hub of the Eden Academy Trust, a family of special schools who work together under one Multi Academy Trust- with a range of learning disabilities including those who may be autistic and those who have physical or sensory needs.

The school are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated SEND experienced LSA to work across the school. Successful candidates will join a team of Teaching Assistants committed to raising standards and providing support to the teaching and learning agenda.

The role requires specialist skills and knowledge within a specialised context, working with children with substantial additional challenges. Classes are small with 7-10 pupils in each one.

You must be:

* Flexible, motivated, supportive and enthusiastic
* Have the skills and commitment to improve outcomes for all pupils in our school
* Able to work effectively within a team
* Able to relate to a wide range of abilities
* Previous SEND experience, although not essential, would be an advantage
* Work 1-1 and in small groups
