Job Opportunity: Deputy Nursery Manager at Waterside Nursery

Are you a dynamic and experienced childcare professional looking to advance your career? We are currently seeking a dedicated Drputy Manager to support the overall management and operation of our Waterside nursery.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the delivery of high-quality care and education for young children. You will play a key role in supporting the management team, leading by example, and providing guidance and support to nursery staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance as the Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Provide support and guidance to nursery staff, including supervision, training, and performance management in your role as Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a stimulating and engaging curriculum in line with the EYFS framework, a crucial duty of the Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the nursery as the Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular communication and updates on their child's progress and wellbeing in the capacity of Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, invoicing, and maintaining accurate child records as the Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of care and education provided, a key responsibility of the Deputy Nursery Manager.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above CCLD Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with babies and children from 3 months - 5 years old.
  • 2 years of relevant experience (ideally experience in dealing with Ofsted inspections).
  • A great work ethic and the ability to manage a team, essential qualities for a Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Ability to delegate and manage your time effectively as the Deputy Nursery Manager.
  • Enhanced DBS check required for the Deputy Nursery Manager position.
