Music Production Teacher - Live Sound

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Further Education Teacher to join our Creative Arts Department, specializing in Live Sound Production on a permanent, part time (21 hours per week) basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education based on the Pearson specification, inspiring and equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the live sound production industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Live Sound Production in line with the Pearson specification
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices
- Organize and supervise practical sessions, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance
- Support students in their career aspirations and provide guidance on industry opportunities
Essential skills:
- A degree in Sound Production, Music Technology, or a related field
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
- Significant industry experience in live sound production
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable:
- In-depth knowledge of the Pearson specification for Live Sound Production
