General Teaching assistant - September 2024 start!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our team!

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support students in their educational journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their academic growth.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students
- Mentor and guide students in their learning process
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support students with special education needs or learning disabilities
- Provide tutoring and additional assistance to students as needed

Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of the curriculum 
- Ability to effectively educate and engage students of different learning abilities
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
