**Qualified Teachers required for SEMH School, full-time teaching**

SENCare are working closely with a special school in the surrounding area of Watford. The special school caters for secondary aged pupils with; autism(ASD), ADHD, Social Emotional Mental Health(SEMH) and, challenging behaviour.

The School aim to support their students to develop the personal and emotional resilience to navigate life successfully. They encourage their students to develop emotional literacy and the strategies that enable them to regulate their emotions effectively. The School want the students to be socially capable and to make friendships. They aim to help them build the knowledge and skills to be successful in their chosen pathway. The School know that engaging in education in a wider sense can help develop motivation and curiosity about subject learning to help secure onward pathways that are meaningful. They know that learning happens everywhere and that moments away from the classroom can be key moments for learning.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and teach lessons, for small groups and individual pupils.
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports.
  • Support students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their pupil's progress.

Prospective teachers are required to have: 

  • A DBS dated within the last 3 years or, be willing to apply for a new DBS.
  • Appropriate RTW in the UK for full-time work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • QTS or QTLS.
  • ECTs are welcome to apply. 
  • Previous experience working within a special school(ASD, learning difficulties and, SEMH). 
  • Previous experience planning/ delivering lessons.
