Psychology Teacher needed – Great Kingshill

Supply Desk seeks an individual with a passion for teaching psychology and prior teaching experience. The ideal candidate will excel in leading the classroom and fostering student development as well as inspiring and keeping the students engaged on a daily basis.

Role: Psychology Teacher

Responsibilities as a Teacher:

• Implement curriculum-aligned psychology lessons that incorporate real-world contexts and interactive activities.
• Cultivate an inviting and dynamic classroom atmosphere that encourages students to inquire, critically analyse concepts independently, and strive for academic excellence in psychology.
• Utilise diverse teaching strategies, including visual aids, collaborative projects, and technology tools, to accommodate varying learning styles.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding, offering constructive feedback to support each student's growth and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design projects that connect psychology with other academic disciplines, providing students with well-rounded educational experiences.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to refine teaching techniques and remain informed about advancements in psychology education

Requirements:

• Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• Prior experience of working in the education sector or teaching the national curriculum
• Has a strong knowledge of the Psychology curriculum
• Able to keep the classroom encouraged and keep pupils enthusiastic about learning
• Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
• Has a passionate for teaching Psychology
• Able to commute to Great Kingshill and the surrounding areas
