Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £84 - £100 a day (depending on experience)

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance required to achieve their full potential.

SEN teaching assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Use specialized strategies and resources to assist students' learning.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care needs if required.
  • Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' development.

SEN Teaching assistant Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
