Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Croydon

I am currently looking for a passionate and hard-working PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a prestigious SEN school in the London Borough of Croydon.

About the School

• Located in South Croydon, London Borough of Croydon
• Specialist SEN school for children ages 5-19
• Provides a creative, fun and playful learning environment
• 8:30am to 3:30pm working hours
• A friendly and supportive staff members
• Fantastic facilities available
• Relevant Training and CPD available

Main Responsibilities

• Supporting children with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
• Interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
• Providing a creative and stimulating learning environment
• Assisting with personal care (feeding and toileting)

About the pupils’ needs

• May have physical disabilities and have restricted mobility
• Complex health needs such as epilepsy
• Sensory processing difficulties
• Complex mental health difficulties

About You

• Have a genuine interest and passion for special education
• Have transferable skills
• Willing to learn
• Has a positive and can-do attitude
• Have good communication skills
• Fully committed to working in special education
