Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support students with a range of special educational needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Learning: Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction of the classroom teacher and SEND coordinator.
Individualized Assistance: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide tailored support and ensure their needs are met.
Resource Preparation: Help prepare and adapt classroom materials to meet the specific needs of SEND students.
Behavior Management: Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Education or SEND (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring nature.
Knowledge: Understanding of various SEND conditions and strategies to support these in a school setting.
Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
