Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Southampton, starting in September 2024. This long-term contract role involves providing personalised support in English and Maths to a student with additional needs, ensuring they receive the focused attention and guidance required for their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support in English and Maths to a student with additional needs.
• Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the student's specific requirements.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the student’s academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create and utilize effective learning materials and resources.
• Support the student’s behavioural and emotional needs, ensuring a respectful and disciplined classroom atmosphere.
• Track and assess the student’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
