Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside some of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the local area. We are currently experiencing an increased demand for supply Teaching staff to work on an ad-hoc basis across the trusts, supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
We are currently seeking experienced supply Teachers, to support the trusts and our smaller primary schools, starting from September. Applicants will be able to pick their preferred year groups or key stages and will enjoy a more flexible approach to working. Allowing you to continue doing the job you love but with added flexibility to give you more work/life balance. You will be able to set clear boundaries, which our consultants will work to in order to find you regular and enjoyable work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team! We are currently working with school all across the Birmingham area, including, but not limited to, areas such as Great Barr, Handsworth, Aston, Nechells, Saltley, Balsall Heath, Bordesley Green and Birmingham City Centre. Our salary ranges are from £150-210 per day, depending on experience. This is for staff working on an ad-hoc basis.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Applicants must also be willing to provide 24 months worth of references in addition to a reference which comments on their professional interaction with children. Supply teaching can be a great option for ECT’s looking to broaden their pedagogy before taking on their induction terms. It can also provide a great work/life balance for applicants needing to spend more time at home for many different reasons.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Able and willing to travel around the Birmingham area, within clear boundaries set by you
  • Confident in supporting pupils on an ad-hoc basis
