Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in their academic and personal development.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering individualized lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Monitor student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for each student.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Understanding of various SEMH conditions and appropriate support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake SEMH-related training.
