SEND Teaching Assistant - LS14

Milk Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 SEND School in the Seacroft, Leeds area to work on a long-term basis starting September! This role is a full-time vacancy with working hours 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. This is a school, who prides itself on being happy and caring, with high standards of attainment and behaviour.

SEND Teaching Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

● Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

● Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis whilst responding to their individual needs

● Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate

● Deliver catch-up sessions

SEND Teaching Assistant Non-negotiables:

● Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.

● Must have a passion for education

● Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

● Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
