Exciting Opportunity: Outreach Tutor SEN/SEMH

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges? Look no further! We have an incredible opportunity for an Outreach Tutor in one of our client schools! The role will be based in Tower Hamlets.

Type: Full-time

Salary: £150-£220 per day (Salary dependent on experience)

About the Role: As an Outreach Tutor, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN/SEMH needs. Your passion for education, empathy, and commitment will empower students to thrive academically and emotionally. You’ll work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate must be able to teach both English and Maths.


your responsibilities would include:

  1. Individualized Support: Tailoring learning plans to meet the unique needs of students with SEN/SEMH.
  2. Knowledge about English and Maths is a Must
  3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assessing student progress and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  4. Collaboration: Working closely with schools, families, and other professionals to create a supportive environment.
  5. Emotional Well-being: Supporting students’ emotional and mental health.
  6. Safeguarding: Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of student progress and interventions.

Must-Haves:

  •  DBS: An up-to-date, enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
  •  References: Provide two professional child-related references to showcase your expertise and dedication.
  •  Updated CV: Highlight your qualifications and experience.
  •  QTS: Qualified Teacher Status or NARIC equivalent.
  •  Right to Work: Eligibility to work in the UK.
