Tradewind are recruiting for a KS3 PRU Teacher!

Are you adaptable, resilient, patient and able to differentiate your teaching?

Tradewind are recruiting for a KS3 PRU Teacher to start in September 24, full time & long term for a secondary alternative education provision in the Bury area catering for pupils with SEMH needs.

* Both Primary & Secondary Teachers with SEMH experience invited to apply as pupils are working at low levels.

* Direct to permanent or temporary-to-permanent.

Start September 24, full time, Monday to Friday.

Excellent pay up to £230/day depending on experience (if starting on supply)

Hours - Mon 8:30am - 4pm

Easily accessible by car, tram and bus.

You will be teaching children aged 11-16 who all have an EHCP for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs as well as associated obstacles to learning such as Autism, ADHD and SpLD.

Due to the nature of the pupils they are looking for a teacher who is passionate, energectic and resilient while also being able to motiviate and engage hard to reach young people.

Pupils are at KS3 age although they are working at KS2 level so you will be required to teach across the curriculum and differentiate for the individual needs, levels and behaviours of each pupil.

This Bury pupil referral unit is rated Good in all areas by Ofsted and as such they are looking for teachers that have high aspirations, standards and resilience. They focus on safety, inclusion and holistic outcomes while striving for each pupil to reach their full potential.

To join us and be successful in this KS3 PRU Teacher role, you will need to:

  • QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
