Supply Desk is on the lookout for an enthusiastic PE Teacher for an exciting new position in the area of Hughenden Valley. We're searching for a someone who can foster a safe and supportive environment where all students are motivated to learn, grow, and excel in physical education

Role: Physical Education Teacher

Location: Hughenden Valley

Start: September 2024

About the role:

• Creating and delivering comprehensive PE lesson plans that encourage physical activity, skill development, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Teaching students, a variety of sports, games, and activities, tailoring lessons to accommodate different skill levels and interests.
• Evaluating and tracking students' progress in physical skills and fitness.
• Cultivating a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and mutual respect.
• Demonstrating and emphasising proper techniques and safety practices during physical activities.
• Working with colleagues to integrate PE with other subjects and school initiatives.
• Organising and overseeing extracurricular sports and fitness programs, such as intramural sports and fitness clubs.
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and participation in PE.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have recent experience in teaching primary schools
• Strong knowledge of the Physical Education curriculum
• Degree and QTS Desirable (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• Be a committed team player
• Be confident and adaptable to different environments
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Able to commute to Hughenden Valley and the surrounding areas
