Teaching Assistant

Location: Newport

Pay Rate: from £83.85 per day.

Start Date: September 2024.

Hours: 8.30 – 3.30pm.

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Secondary School in Newport to find a Teaching Assistant to start Full-Time in September. You will be working with pupils between the ages of 11-16.

The successful candidate will have experience working within education previously. If you get on well, after an initial temporary period you will be taken onto a school contract.

This is an ideal role for anyone who has a passion for helping children reach their potential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an exemplary classroom practitioner.
  • Have a range of experience working with pupils with special needs including learning difficulties.
  • Have a sound understanding of safeguarding issues.
  • Be able to develop strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Work with a range of external professionals.
  • Be committed to raising standards across school.
  • Have the ability to work within a team.
  • Be conscientious and hardworking.

Requirements:

-          Enhanced child DBS on the Update Service.

-          EWC registration.

-          Be able to provide 2 most recent references.

-          Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (this will be provided free of charge by TP)

-          Right to work in the UK.

-          Overseas Criminal Clearance (if applicable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
