Our secondary school in Chelmsford is dedicated to providing a high-quality education and fostering a love for learning among our students. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate of Science to join our Science Department and support our mission to deliver outstanding science education.

As a Graduate of Science, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff in the Science Department. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson delivery, providing one-to-one and small group support, preparing teaching materials, and contributing to the overall development of the science curriculum.

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of science lessons, ensuring they are engaging and accessible for all students.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to understand complex scientific concepts and improve their academic performance.
• Prepare teaching materials and resources for practical experiments and classroom activities.
• Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

• A recent degree in a science-related field.
• A passion for education and a desire to inspire and motivate students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

• Competitive hourly rate of £70 - £100 per hour, depending on experience.
