Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and empathetic 1 to 1 Learner Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized assistance to a student with SEN, fostering their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual needs.
- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in class activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient and compassionate approach to supporting learners with diverse needs.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the unique requirements of the student.
Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
