If so, GSL Education has an exciting opportunity for you to join their dedicated client school as a Learning Support Assistant in the vibrant borough of Kensington and Chelsea!

 As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with classroom teachers to support the learning and development of students with diverse needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, offering assistance with classwork, assignments, and educational activities.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by promoting participation, cooperation, and respect among students.

Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies, ensuring that each student receives the personalized support they need.

Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and well-being of all students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
