The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students. Working closely with teachers and other staff members, you will provide assistance both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring that every student receives the personalised support they need to succeed. From 1:1 tutoring to group activities, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
  • Help create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel respected and supported.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and implement appropriate interventions when necessary.
  • Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities, promoting positive behavior and social interactions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children and young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A passion for supporting the learning and development of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
  • Ideally, hold relevant qualifications in education or child development (such as a Degree, CACHE Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
