Academics LTD currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher based at an excellent secondary school in the Henley-On-Thames area. We are looking for someone proactive and hardworking who feels passionate about working in a secondary school environment and can support children to learn and thrive whilst maintaining the schools high standard of behaviour. Ofsted 'Outstanding'. This secondary school has been commended by ofsted for their established senior leadership team and exceptional behaviour within the school. The Head Teacher promotes mental, physical and emotional well-being across the school for staff and pupils alike. Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of students' needs and abilities.
• Teach fundamental principles of food technology, including food safety, nutrition, culinary techniques, and food science.
• Organize practical cooking sessions, allowing students to develop hands-on skills in the kitchen.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Assess student progress through various methods, such as assignments, projects, and practical demonstrations.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning experience for all.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of food technology concepts and principles.
• Experience in teaching food technology at the secondary level preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for inspiring students and fostering their love for food and cooking.
