Key Stages: 3 & 4 

Contract: Temp-to-Perm (Immediate Start or September) 

Salary: Paid to Scale + SEN Allowance

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Mathematics Specialist Teacher to deliver high-quality education across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic and challenging setting and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young people with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.

- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with SEMH.

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

- Collaborate with the wider school team, including support staff and external agencies, to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly.

- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of individualised education plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in Mathematics or relevant subject – QTS ideal but not essential

- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.

- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and effective strategies to support their learning and development.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning.

- Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
