The college is looking for a driven Learning Support Mentor to join their learning support department. Every day is different and TA’s can be supporting the students in a wide range of subjects that help to promote their confidence, independence, employability and self-reliance. You could be working with students in the college garden, with small animals or doing art, drama, music or wood work skills as well as supporting in cooking lessons and Maths and English. The Learning Support Mentor must be compassionate and consistent to create a warm and approachable environment for the students to feel safe and inclusive throughout their learning journey. 

Successful Learning Support Mentor will have:

• Grade C / 4 in GCSE English or equivalent
• Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses
• Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
