Requirements:
As a Science Academic Coach, you will have at least a bachelor’s degree in a science related field, along with a warm, friendly personality. You must have a clear, concise communication style, as well as the confidence to share your advanced knowledge of scientific concepts with KS3 and KS4 students. You will be enthusiastic and driven and prepared to partake in activities with the wider school community. Previous experience of working with students, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not essential.
The Role
In your role as a Science Academic Coach, you will be responsible for assisting teaching staff in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, and the creation of learning materials that adhere to the GCSE science national curriculum. You will monitor and track student progression and use this understanding of individuals student learning needs to adapt learning materials and provide constructive feedback. It is essential in this role that you build strong bonds with students and staff and partake in activities with the wider school community in order to maintain a positive learning environment.
