Overview:

Supply Desk is partnering with a well-regarded Secondary School near central Bournemouth, seeking a dedicated full-time Health and Social Care teacher to start in September. This long-term contract has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stages 3 and 4, with ample time allocated for planning and marking. The school is looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a positive approach to teaching and relationship-building. This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers. The school is also open to considering unqualified or non-specialist teachers with relevant experience in teaching Health and Social Care at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons that facilitate understanding of the subject and its real-world applications.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care or a related field (required).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care to secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
