Overview:

Supply Desk is partnering with a highly regarded Secondary School located near central Bournemouth, seeking a dedicated full-time RE teacher to start in September. This is a long-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with ample time allocated for planning and marking. The school is looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and a positive approach to teaching and relationship-building. This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced RE teachers. The school is also open to considering unqualified or non-specialist teachers with relevant experience in teaching RE at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging RE lessons that facilitate understanding and appreciation of different cultures and religions.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies or a related field (required).
