As we continue to develop our Modern Foreign Language department, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of German to join our team.

Position Overview: The School are seeking to appoint a Teacher of German to teach across Key Stages 3–5, supporting the development of German language skills to the highest standards. This is a permanent position, subject to a probationary period. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated professional, dedicated to inspiring students and delivering high-quality German language education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective German language lessons to students across Key Stages 3–5.
  • Support the development of German language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil engagement, attainment, and positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in German.
  • Experience of teaching German language at Key Stages 3–5.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • High expectations of pupil engagement, attainment, and behavior.
  • Passion for teaching German and fostering a love for the language among students.
