Job Title: Science Teacher

Salary: M1-6 plus SEND point (£34,514 – £46,001) + (£2,539)

Contract: Temp to perm

Start Date: Immediate start/September Start based on candidate

We at TeacherActive are working with an East London based Alternative Provision who are looking to recruit a dedicated and passionate QTS Teacher or equivalent to teach Science. This is a temporary to permanent role, therefore there is the opportunity for a permanent placement in the near future. The key focus for this provision is to build the confidence of the student within their learning journey. The individual must me resilient, calm and supportive with great behavioural management skills.

-Have experience as a Science Teacher and curriculum knowledge.

-Have a relevant Qualification (QTS or equivalent).

-Experience working in a SEND/SEMH educational settings.

-Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build rapports with young people.

-Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (up-to-date DBS + registered on the Update Service is desirable).

-The ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of own workload.

-Great behavioural management skills.
