Vacancy: Year 2 Class Teacher

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join a diverse and vibrant school on a part time basis working 3 days per week.

We are looking for an inspiring and innovative teacher who can motivate pupils and help them to reach the highest possible standards.

This is a job share that will see you with joint responsibilities alongside the other Year 2 teacher.

Your key responsibilities as a Year 2 Teacher;

• Planning, delivering and assessing exciting, engaging lessons that are designed to meet the needs of all learners.
• Developing schemes of work and lesson plans that support and challenge all pupils.
• Assessing and marking pupils' work to ensure it meets the highest standards.
• Understanding National Curriculum objectives and planning appropriate and exciting activities.
• Supporting and monitoring pupil progress, including the setting of achievable targets
• Liaising with parents and carers over pupil achievement and welfare.
• Working closely with colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
• Attending staff meetings and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions when required.

Other than being an exceptional teacher, we also require you to

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience of teaching across the UK Key Stage One Curriculum
• Have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Have outstanding communication skills and the ability to nurture a positive learning environment.
• Have a passion for learning and a commitment to collaboration and excellence.
