TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Nursery based in Paignton with their search for a Nursery Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a welcoming and nurturing Nursery, with like-minded practitioners to provide the best possible early start for young children. They focus on a child centred approach to learning and prioritise the children’s individual needs. It’s a busy and thriving environment with lots of opportunities to plan stimulating activities and to create a fun and supportive atmosphere.

The nursery is looking to employ a qualified Nursery Practitioner, on a long-term basis with the opportunity to be offered a permanent position. You will report directly to the Nursery Manager and could be required to work across different ages groups within the nursery.  In a time of growth for this Nursery, career progression opportunities are also available for the right person. An excellent level of communication is required along with an in depth and up-to-date knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

If you enjoy making play dough, finger painting and dressing up with the children and you’re able to be fun whilst creating an engaging and exciting environment, then you could be the perfect person for the role.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

· Level 2 NVQ or equivalent (Required) Level 3 NVQ or equivalent (Desirable)

· Experience with the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum

· ‘Can-do’ approach with the willingness to get stuck in

· Reliability and a compassionate nature
