We are seeking to recruit a decicated and experienced Teaching Assistant on behalf of a lovely junior school in Burton-On-Trent (DE14).

This position is due to begin in June 2024 and has the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate!

Working hours are 8:45-3:25 Monday-Friday.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in the management of Year 4 pupils 
• Work on a 1:1 and group intervention basis as directed by the class teacher 
• Provide regular feedback on pupil progression 
• Contribute to pupils formative and summative assessment 
• Promote the school's vision and values 
• Implement behaviour management strategies 
• Work with pupils with Special Educational Needs when directed 

Requirements:

• A Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
• Experience of working with individuals with SEN is essential
• Experience of working in a school setting is desirable
• Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Be able to provide x2 satisfactory references
