***Teaching Geography and/or History to students aged 11-16
 
The ECT:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, History, or a related subject.
  • Completed- or completing- PGCE with QTS.
  • A passion for the humanities field and a drive to instil this into KS3 and KS4 students.
  • A genuine care for the wellbeing and education of students.
  • Clear communication style, with a friendly personality.
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding processes.
 
The Role
Inspiring KS3 and KS4 with exciting and engaging Geography and History lessons that adhere to the national curriculum, as they progress towards their GCSE exams. Working alongside an excellent Head of Humanities and a talented senior leadership team who will support you as you complete your induction. As a Humanities ECT, you will be responsible for monitoring student progress and adapting learning materials to suit individual learning needs. To be successful in this Humanities ECT role, it is essential that you participate in activities with the wider school community to build strong relationships and preserve the positive learning environment.
