SEN teaching Assistant needed, Haslington Cheshire area. This role will be a 5 day working week, 08:30 - 15:30 scheduled for a September start, the first term is guaranteed with the potential to be extended to a full School year.

Academics are a UK leading recruitment agency who are working with a Primary School in Haslington, who are in need of an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with specific learning needs on a one-to-one basis. This will be a full time role to assist the pupil affected by ASD and challenging behavior throughout their school day.

What you'll be doing as a SEN Teaching Assistant!

• As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will accompany the pupil throughout their school day and maximise their learning ability.
• You will be keen to encourage that the pupil remains on task as best they can during class.
• You will report to the Teacher on the pupil's progress so that the Teacher can make reasonable adjustments to their future lesson plans.

What Qualifications will you need?

• As a SEN Teaching Assistant, experience with specific learning needs, in particular ASD is desired but not essential
• A full, clean DBS is required for this SEN Teaching Assistant role.
• A level 3 Childcare Qualification is desired but not essential
• A positive outlook on education and the development of children within the academic system, as well as their social and emotional growth.
