Teaching Personnel are working alongside a school in Littlehampton, we believe in the potential of every student, and we are committed to providing the support and resources they need to succeed academically and socially. We are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual to help us create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with teachers and behaviour specialists to implement behaviour management strategies and interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them develop essential social and emotional skills and promoting positive behaviour choices.
  3. Collaborate with school staff to create and implement behaviour support plans, ensuring consistency and continuity of support across different settings.
  4. Serve as a positive role model and mentor, building trusting relationships with students and helping them build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with students with behavioural challenges preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanour in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse and evolving needs of students and the school community.
  • A commitment to fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and empathy in the classroom and beyond.

Position: Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Hours: Mon - Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
