TeacherActive is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with SEND/SEMH experience to join a school in Doncaster. This school in DN2 focuses on supporting some of its students along side their mainstream school, taking dual action to provide education and support that addresses any emotional, social or mental health needs that are impacting their ability to learn. Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a safe, purposeful, and stimulating environment for our pupils, fostering mutual respect, and ensuring every student feels valued and supported. They will work closely with teaching staff to assist in implementing strategies for behaviour management and academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to teaching staff in creating a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
• Assist in implementing strategies for behaviour management, utilising praise, sanctions, and rewards consistently and fairly.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to identify opportunities for sharing effective practices and supporting the development of students.
• Work as a team member to contribute to the overall development and success of the school community.
• Demonstrate consistently high standards of personal conduct and professionalism in line with school expectations.

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students.
• Passion for supporting and inspiring young learners to reach their full potential.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.
