SEN Teaching Assistant-Wigan

Tradewind recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work with a child with autism within a Wigan primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the children within the class. You will also be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for the child who has autism and challenging behaviour.

The hours of work are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, offering a stable and consistent work schedule, with daily pay rates of £90-£95. This role is to start ASAP and will continue for the rest of the academic year.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • NVQ level 2 qualification
  • Experience of working with children with ASD
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
