Gillespie Recruitment are delighted to be supporting one of the region’s leading training providers as they add to their team due to expansion.

We are looking to speak to experienced Business Development candidates who are looking for a new challenge. Candidates will have a proven track record of sales / business development, ideally within the world of training.

The position is to create new business opportunities to boost the company’s revenue. The primary duties include maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and recruiting learners to meet contracted services.

Duties include:

  • Research organisations to find new customers.
  • 'Cold call' to arrange meetings at customers' premises.
  • Find out what an organisation needs and plan proposals and pricing.
  • Sell services to new and existing customers, both at an organisational and individual level.
  • Negotiate with customers and build positive relationships.
  • Attend events and conferences.
  • Write reports and make presentations to customers and senior management.
  • Identify new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns.
  • Forecast sales targets and make sure they are met.
