Join a dedicated school community in the picturesque town of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant specializing in SEMH.

Located amidst the serene landscapes of Hertfordshire, this school is renowned for its commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students. With a proud history of fostering resilience and emotional well-being, they prioritize the holistic development of every individual. Conveniently accessible via train and bus routes, our school offers a welcoming setting for both students and staff.

In this full-time role, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, you will provide invaluable support to Key Stage1 and 2 students with SEMH needs. The school are seeking individuals with a compassionate and empathetic approach, along with experience or training in supporting children’s social, emotional, and mental well-being within an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom educators to deliver targeted support for students with SEMH needs, fostering positive social and emotional development.
• Implement evidence-based strategies to promote resilience and self-regulation, creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
• Champion inclusive classroom dynamics, prioritizing the emotional well-being of all students and fostering a sense of belonging.
• Engage students in meaningful activities that promote self-awareness and emotional regulation, empowering them to overcome challenges.
• Establish strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and external professionals, ensuring a collaborative and holistic approach to each student’s well-being.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience or training in supporting students with SEMH needs, with a focus on promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students’ social, emotional, and mental health needs.

This is a full-time, long-term position with a daily rate of £85-£100, working during term time.
