SEND Teaching Assistant

Vision Teaching are working alongside a plethora of South London SEND Schools who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to fill a variety of assignments. We have roles on a full and part time basis; as well as short and longer term contract options. Rates of pay are negotiable based on experience. 

The Role 

The ideal Special Needs teaching assistant will have previous experience working with pupils with Autism. Pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder often require guidance to remain focused on the tasks assigned by the teacher so patience and a can do attitude will be essential. The ideal Special Needs teaching assistant will be able to provide emotional support and you will be able to demonstrate strong relationship-building skills as a SEND teaching assistant and the ability to raise levels of Numeracy and Literacy.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people. To Be Considered For This Role You Will Need;

• Experience with supporting young people/adults with additional needs 

•  A can do attitude 

• Dedicated and passionate about education

Additional Requirements

• References confirming suitability for role

• Commitment to Safeguarding

• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service

• Eligibility to work in the UK
