Youth Mentor / Brent / Immediate start -Secondary school - £80 - £100 a day (depending on experience)

About the role - Youth Mentor - Brent

This is an excellent role for a Youth Mentor to gain more experience in a school setting environment. You'll be working in a secondary school supporting children who have challenging behaviour. You will be overseeing their academic and behaviour needs. A Youth Mentor you need to be approachable as you can be a student's point of call or someone, they feel comfortable to talk to. As a Youth Mentor you need to be a strong positive role model as these students will look up to you. Youth Mentors help to organise educational programs and youth recreational activities such as sports, arts and drama whilst assessing their health, social and emotional requirements. You'll be planning and managing community events and running social events for those struggling with their social life, health problems and anti-social behaviour.

Ideal Youth Mentor

  • Experience working with young people
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Relevant previous work experience
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or willing to get one
  • Can start immediately
