We’re recruiting for a passionate classroom support assistant role at a busy special educational needs school in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting individual students with special educational needs. This full-time role, starting ASAP but also opportunities to start September 2024, offers a unique opportunity to work with children aged 3-14 in a rewarding and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide 1:1 support and assistance to students with special educational needs

- Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to create a tailored learning experience for each child

- Foster trusting relationships with students to help them overcome learning challenges

- Support small group activities and interventions to promote student development

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs

- Flexibility to work across different classes based on student needs

- A genuine passion for supporting children in their educational journey

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
