The Role: As a P.E. Teacher, you will deliver engaging and active lessons that encourage students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality P.E. lessons that promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and a love for physical activity.
  • Sports Instruction: Teach a range of sports and activities, providing instruction in fundamental skills, game strategies, and sportsmanship principles.
  • Health and Well-being: Promote healthy lifestyle choices and well-being practices, including the importance of regular exercise, nutrition, and mental health awareness.
  • Inclusive Practice: Adapt teaching methods and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests, ensuring all students can participate and succeed in P.E. lessons.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess students' progress in physical skills and fitness levels, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their personal best.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events, providing additional opportunities for students to engage in physical activity and competition.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Passion for physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles among young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activity.
  • Knowledge of a variety of sports and physical activities, with experience coaching and teaching sports to students of all ages.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in physical education, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to enhance the P.E. program.
