As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in providing tailored support and interventions to help SEN students achieve their full potential. The Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver personalized and engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of SEN students, including those with challenging behaviors. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Individualized Support: Provide tailored support and interventions to meet the specific learning needs of SEN students, including those with challenging behaviors.
  • Positive Behavior Management: Implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors, creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans for SEN students, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Inclusive Practice: Promote a culture of inclusion and acceptance, where all students feel valued and respected for their unique strengths and abilities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with SEN students, particularly those with challenging behaviors.
  • Specialist knowledge and training in SEN and behavior management strategies.
  • Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies to support SEN students.
