English Teacher

Newstaff are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic English Teachers to work in Supply roles across Milton Keynes. Working as a Supply English Teacher is a great role if you are looking for more work life balance, flexibility with the days you work and the experience of working in different schools!

Supply cover English Teachers will cover in daily and weekly supply assignments with the opportunity to cover in short- or long-term contracts.

We are looking for English Teachers that have a strong command of the English Language, a deep appreciation for literature and the ability to engage and motivate students to excel in their studies. You will have the ability to deliver and where required, plan engaging and comprehensive English lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. All roles will require good behaviour management strategies and experience.

    Essential requirement:

• Qualified Teacher with Batchelors Degree in Education or English, QTS or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a UK school or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and genuine passion working with students.
• Able to manage classroom behaviour.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.

    Responsibilities:

• Delivering preprepared lessons and encouraging student engagement
• Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Providing support and assistance to students as needed
• Reporting any issues or incidents to leadership team
• Working with the school team to ensure continuity of learning.
• Supervising and managing classroom behaviour.
