Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant / LSA

Location: SW London (Tooting)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £90-£95 per day (experience depending)

TeacherActive are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant / LSA to join a school in Tooting, South West London. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant / LSA will work closely with teachers to provide support and assistance to students across a range of subjects and activities.

• Are you passionate about providing support to students with special educational needs, ensuring that their individual needs are met?
• Do you have a patient and flexible approach to work?
• Have you got experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting?

Responsibilities:

• Work with teachers to plan, prepare and deliver lessons to small groups or individual students
• Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
• Help to maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
• Support teachers with administrative tasks such as record keeping and classroom organisation
• Attend meetings with teachers and other professionals as required
• Support students during break and lunch times

Requirements:

• A good understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to support teaching and learning in a range of subjects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers and parents
• A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of children
• A willingness to undertake training and development as required
