Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position at a primary school located in West Norwood, London. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners and contribute to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 students.

- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and motivated to achieve their full potential.

- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to promote a holistic approach to education.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in accordance with school policies.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably within Year 1.

- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies for early years education.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

- Dedication to promoting the holistic development of students and fostering a love of learning.
