About our school

Part of the Keys Group, Moorlands View School is a welcoming and nurturing provision. A co-educational independent special school that provides a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged between 7-16. The school caters for pupils with complex social emotional and mental health needs. The majority of our pupils are Children Looked After, living in Keys Group residential homes in the local area. Moorlands View School provides a therapeutic informed approach and specialist support in a nurturing environment.

Overview of the role of SEN Teacher:

- Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students.

- Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports

- Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn

- Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress

We would love to hear from people who:

- Passionate champions of students with SEND

- At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment

At Moorlands View School

Our school provides a safe, secure, positive and supportive environment which is caring, consistent and fair, irrespective of gender, disability and background. We support pupils between KS2 to KS4 in acquiring the knowledge, skills and understanding relevant to adult life and employment/further education.

At Moorlands View School our focus is on learning to enjoy education and making it a memorable, happy experience with us. Lessons are not always classroom based, as the school goes out on trips and pupils take part in physical activities on a weekly basis. We will always attempt to give pupils new experiences and encourage team building exercises.
